The 2009 Hip Hop Awards

Yeah there was a post like 3 weeks ago saying the ballet would be up. And here we are just about a month from the awards and nothing is happening....and exactly what has the hip hop coalition done recently? It seems that this has been really dead recently.

But i would like to see a ballet because the people want to be involved in the nominations too word up!! People feel like its alot of mystery awards given lol but i know they got good intentions.

I just want to make sure y'all heard what my Nephew Raw Talent said...it's Hip Hop Appreciation Week...not just the awards. I watched the response from the community the last 2 years and both times people talk about nothing else but the awards. Hopefully that will change this year. I could really care less about the awards. I dont get one, and it is waaaaay too much work and waaaay too many people complaining overall versus the amount of HELP we actually get to put it on. We do it solely to celebrate our city's work and artistry because they deserve it! And we hope to build a network of hiphoppers so that we can start to work togehter like the family we are, it is not about the statue! Also, I VOLUNTEER my time out of the emmense love I have for my Kulture!!! It is about the WEEK and preserving the Kulture of HipHop and making sure it remains ours!! We have meetings EVERY Wednesday and Saturday open to the public and all members of the hip hop community! So if you would like to get involved and help speed the process along you are more than welcome to attend!!! Other than that it is for the most part 2-4 people planning an ENTIRE WEEK of events who also have families and jobs on the side!! But we dont talk about it we are about it!! The ballot is currently in the hands of EOB at 104.5 fm awaiting to be posted to their website so that everyone will be able to vote!! We are just waiting on him!!! Any other questions, let me know!

The ballot is up, so you can see all the nominees BUT they are having technical difficulties with regestering which we hope to have fixed ASAP!! So at a minimum, peep the nominees and get your answers ready so that when it is working properly you can vote immediately!! Tell EVERYBODY and stay tuned to the website for the latest information!!! If you go to create a username/password from their site, it'll register you to the WSNX site, not the GRHH Site. and in order to vote you must be registered here at the GRHH Site...
